An infographic timeline poster exploring the recent evolution of R&B from the 1990s to the 2000s, tracing its shift from rich, vocal-driven harmonies to digitally influenced, genre-blending production while highlighting key cultural moments and sonic transformations. To honor the genre’s deep roots in Black culture, the timeline dates were constructed using Afro-inspired
fabric rather than traditional typography, transforming them into textured cultural markers instead of simple timestamps. The piece incorporates layered and dimensional design elements, blending print, material exploration, and mixed media to create an immersive experience that invites viewers to feel its rhythm, heritage, and lasting impact.
